The Fourteen Against Kefka

Some of the greatest heroes the Esper Dimension has ever known, these fourteen heroes assembled to battle, and ultimately defeat, the insane and evil Kefka Palazzo, who had assumed tremendous power and caused the world-altering cataclysm of the dimension.

  • Locke Cole, still alive and living in Albrook, and reputedly getting along at least a little better with his son, Celiose Cole--and he gets along quite well with Christian Cole
  • Celes Chere landed near Albrook and provided much of the impetus for gathering the heroes. She wielded the sword Illumina; after defeating Kefka, she married Locke and became Celes Cole, and gave birth to Celiose. Although she and Locke loved each other, married life did not always agree with them. Celes is currently suffering from memory loss as a result of an advanced phase of Tuvin's Syndrome.
  • Terra Branford, the half-human half-Esper, ascended to godhood in 24 WR. Becoming Rainere, Goddess of Magic and Trade, she became patron of the Tasnica Republic.
  • Umaro the Yeti and Gogo the Mimic both vanished mysteriously after defeating Kefka.
  • Mog has attained near-legendary status among Moogles the Web over, but has not been seen himself in many years.
  • Sabin Figaro, the legendary martial artist, ended up in Ticondera, and married Camilison Langren, and, for a time, was Emperor of Ticondera. The communist revolution deposed him, however, and in an accident he was killed by soldiers of the incipient Esper Union.
  • Edgar Figaro, Sabin's brother and the brilliant engineer, remained King of Figaro for a time. The death of his brother appeared to drive him quite mad, however, and his clear insanity cost him the sympathy of a critical House of Lords vote even though Edgar was an original signer of the Grand Army Charter. After losing his kingdom in the Imperialist War, Edgar fled in exile to Baron, in the Crystal Dimension.
  • Cyan Garamonde, already quite old by the time he had fought Kefka, became King of Doma. He later raised Aurora Garamonde, a mortal incarnation of the Goddess Chrystalis. He was an original signer of the Grand Army Charter, and he had enough fight in him to stand against the Age of Imperialism. Though supposedly dead, he is a figure of chivalry reknowned throughout the Web--and a symbol of Doman nationalism.
  • No one knows what happened to Shadow, the Assassin (or his dog, Interceptor), but he is rumored to be in Celpo employ.
  • Strago Magus, the great Blue Mage, died peacefully in 8 WR, surrounded by his friends and loved ones.
  • Relm Arrowny became Mayor of Thamasa. Although quite savvy, she felt she had no choice but to bow before the growing power of the Esper Union. She helped Thamasa rebuild from the OmniSent attacks, and still plays an influential role in the city's politics.
  • Gau, the legendary "wild man" of the Veldt, reputedly returned to the Veldt. Settlers in the area claim to have seen him, but no one knows for sure.
  • Setzer Gabbiani reputedly still gets around as an adventurer and gambler, and is a casino tycoon and philanthropist.
