History

As an OmniSent agent, he was skilled and dangerous, and one of the first men Dain recruited to join Ticondera’s covert ops agency, the Collective. Upon entering the Collective, he was selected for the experimental Superagent program, which went far beyond the metabolic enhancements used on the “killer guerillas” of Ticondera’s army. The program had a high casualty rate, but Ash was counted among the survivors, and clearly among the elite. Ash’s abilities (superhuman strength, quickness, and endurance; enhanced skin and bone density and lung capacity) have made him a force to be reckoned with, and his fondness for explosives further adds to his reputation for destruction. Ash and his fellow Superagents form a division of the Collective known as the Cadre, special missions operatives with incredible combat skills. During the Ticonderan Civil War, Ash stole the control codes for SkyNet from the TCG Building and assassinated Zandergun, the tribal leader of the Gunta people. More recently, Ash and four other Cadre agents travelled to North Viper to assassinate Gail Courtry, but the Grey Man apparently beat them to it.

He’d never held much respect for gods, even before the advent of communism. Gods were bosses who never paid in cash; only in vague suggestions of future salvation and spurious claims of responsibility for the outcomes of fortune. Anyone who propped themselves up on religion was leaning on the shoulders of ghosts and vapors.
