Ultima Missile

An awesome weapon capable of destroying a city or even whole planets. A powerful magitek-based explosive drawing upon the power of the spell Ultima. Ultima is one of the most destructive spells known to several of the Web's magical traditions. In magical terms Ultima converts strands of magic into raw energy.

Ultima Missiles detonated with a slowly expanding blue-black-purple sphere; the wave destroys almost everything in its path. It leaves behind enough Ultima Radiation to make the blast zone unsuitable for habitation for decades.

Horrifying weapon banned by the Hosluftgrad Conventions but nonetheless produced (and sometimes used) by the Grand Army; first used against Zeromous. During the Great War these weapons were rarely used; it was the goal of the GA to liberate the Web, not destroy it. The most notorious use of one of these missiles was against the OmniSent, as one was detonated underneath Roland's army at the Battle of Albrook.

The Grand Army mounts ultima missiles on submarines, aircraft, spacecraft, and even Seraphim (which can withstand the blast of the weapon). It also possess Interdimensional Ballistic Missiles (IDBMs) with a long enough flight range to reach between the worlds of the Core; the GA's primary bases for these are the Death Mountain base in Hyrule/Hyland and the Kefka's Domain base near Albrook.
