History

Sliver is a Gerudo with the birthname of River Aurora who showed great promise in the Gerudo combat arts and dark arts at a young age. She spent much of her youth and teenage years training in various assassin arts and combat techniques. She demonstrated absolutely no skill for magic, and this weakness spurned her on to hone her other skills to the point of near superhuman ability.

Though she benefited greatly from her training with her people and had no problems adopting to their harsh lifestyle, in her pride she began to feel her exceptional talents were worth more than the life of a desert thief and she left her people seeking fame, fortune, and the attention of men. Her Gerudo combat talents proved an asset on the battlefield, as their culture was not widely known and their secrets well kept, making her a formidable foe. She became a highly sought after sellsword and managed to attract the attention of the new newly established Celpo in the days of the Great War. She was also ruthless in execution, often times sparing no witnesses even when it was not necessary. One notable exception was an early job she took where she spared the life of Rudra Tairen, then only a child.

Eventually Sliver was recruited by Celpo, where she was given the Sliver codename. She was a highly effective agent who was trusted on numerous missions and could seem to do no wrong. One fateful night, however, she was placed on guard duty and in a moment of carelessness was almost killed by a Baneling. She was saved by Rudra Tairen, who despite her young age dealt with the creatures with ease. The two formed an uneasy bond that night and a mission Sliver was later sent on required her to work alongside Rudra. During their time together Rudra's benevolence seemed to change Sliver, and for the first time in her life she began to question her path. Eventually Rudra won Sliver over -- the Celpo agent agreed to join Rudra's secret underground information network, OmniSent, though she would continue her work with Celpo.

Sliver had a slight role in the OmniSent Conflict -- she provided backup for Manta on one of his missions in Aryth (where she was actually first introduced into the story) and also provided backup to Faith Weist during the attack on Atlantis. She would have a larger role in the East-West War, where she aided Lord General Faith Weist, whom she formed a strong bond with. Sliver also accompanied Elayne Crant'za on her pursuit after the Emperor Vonkrick DeLaykrinn. A nefarious mercenary during the days before the Great War, Sliver worked for the highest bidder, no matter what the job, and she was successful in most all of her endeavors. An expert in disguise and espionage, she was often sought out by people who needed things done.

Post Kupopolis

At this time, not much is known about Sliver's fate following the East-West War. At some point before Kupopolis Neo she actually readopts the name River Aurora, marries, settles down, and has one daughter, who in turn has a son. Sliver dies of cancer when her grandson is still very young. Sliver never shares with her daughter her history as a Celpo agent and her heritage as a Gerudo.

Disposition

Sliver is prideful almost to the point of arrogance, though she doesn`t often look down on those around her. She`s very carefree and laid back, and makes no secrets of her promiscuity, her lust for luxury, or her love for new experiences. Though she spent most of her time as a loner, and still does, she has recently found herself with feelings of strong loyalty towards Rudra Tairen. She was also very close with Faith Weist and in the past was intimate with Zone.
