History

Kix would like to have a soft story like everyone else... unfortunately, his youth... while no paradise... was not the kicker most was. For the most part, he grew up a smart, athletic kid... who was more worried about girls and games than in his academics. Along with some of his better friends, thinking it more a joke than anything, he had joined the Grand Army voluntarily. In the academy, it was discovered that Kix had an unusual natural skill -- he could fly and shoot like few could. In just his first few days of flight training, he could outgun most of his tutors.

Kix couldn`t have asked for a more suitable trait. The second phase of the Great War began shortly after his academic training, and he found himself quickly rack up points as one of the GA`s best. He had refused all promotions, simply living for the thrill of a personal, one on one air battle. While most he knew had gotten off of the DW hook without much trouble, he still knew some who were killed.. and he had always had a strange respect for human life. He wanted to take the Dark Wrath down from the start.

After the war ended, Kix, who had refused almost all his promotions thus far, was forced into rook duty in the Grand Army, a task he absolutely hated. Despite this, he still refused almost all opportunities to move up in ranks, which were offered by his ga-ga-gorgeous commanding officer, Faith Weist. He always claimed he would take the promotion for a date or even a kiss, but always Faith refused.

Finally one day, several months after the end of the Great War, Kix awoke froma drunken stupor to find himself a wanted man, for the murder of Ray Lenn, an important member of the Grand Army Research and Development team and also Faith`s boyfriend. In a panic, he fled, taking a hostage in a new private fresh out of training by the name of Ronnie Dunn. They were followed and gunned down by Faith Weist. They survived handily, but Faith had followed them to the ground. Tossing Kix a bag of goods and money, she told him to run and stay away from Albrook.

Questions still in his mind, Kix did just that. He decided to visit his brother, Merek, in his hometown of Jidoor, dragging the angst ridden Ronnie Dunn the entire way there. When he at last arrived in Jidoor, his brother offered him a suggestion to perhaps learn the truth of Ray`s death -- the OmniSent, an underground information organization that just might have the answers he was looking for.

He met briefly with Rudra and Surlent, co-founders of the OmniSent, but was later tracked down by Faith. Faith at last confessed everything, that it had been her who had killed Ray Lenn. Her former boyfriend was apparantly working on a dangerous weapon he was going to sell for the highest bidder. While trying to stop the weapon from getting into enemy hands, she shot Ray, and the Grand Army pinned Kix for the crime since he seemed so jealous of the doctor. She begged Kix to come back to the Grand Army, where Faith would take credit for the crimes she committed, and Kix and Ronnie could go back to doing what they did best -- piloting. Kix refused, however. Faith decided she would not let the two alone until they agreed to come back.

Kix, however, was caught unawares one day, and was talked into signing up for the OmniSent security team as a fighter pilot by Lord General Roland. He disappeared into Aryth, where Faith attempted to follow him. She was too late, however, as he was given his first mission -- a training mission, as it was, to fly an old piece of shielded machinery and bomb targets. What he didn`t know at the time was that he was bombing live targets -- he and his squad had been sent to offer cover fire for the assassination attempt on King Doan of Guardia. The fighter craft he used was completely self contained and had no windows to the outside, only data readings, so he was never made aware of his folly.

He later returned to Jidoor, where his brother told him of Faith`s quest to find him. She was in Aryth now, so Kix followed her, determined to track her down.

When he found her, she was lying in a cold stupor at a high floor in the Glory Tower. An attempt had been made on her life by an OmniSent assassin under Roland`s command, and she would have died had she not been hurt in the Glory Tower, where Tanes managed to heal her.

It was after this time that Lord Roland of the OmniSent made his own move by assassinating Rudra. Without barriers, Roland made the OmniSent into a underground military organization, bordering on the edge of terrorism. He had also managed to gain control of the Glory Tower of Aryth, turning the magic users into nothing more than leashed weapons.

Kix and Faith retreated from the Tower, and with the help of several Arythian leaders, the Arythian Army was established under Faith`s command. Kix followed his former commanding officer all the way until their occupation of Rein, when Faith sent Kix back to Esper with several important messages for the Generalissimo, among them Faith`s confession of all the Grand Army rules she had broken since her murder of Ray Lenn, as well as the plans for the weapon Doctor Lenn had been working on.

Back in Albrook, Kix found himself out of action. Still under suspicions from the Grand Army, he was made to remain in the Grand Army Headquarters until "further notice." He was left with no further choice, however, when the OmniSent attacked the headquarters head on. When Celiose trounced the invading armies with a U-Missle, Roland made a least ditch attack by trying to teleport a fearsome beast on top of the city by the name of a Zevin, which would go on to destroy most of the dimension uninterrupted.

Kix made a daredevil attempt in his restored Ragnarok and flew into the gate teleporting the huge beast. After getting through, Kix shot out the magical orbs that were being used to send the beast, decapitating it at the neck, leaving a head in Esper and its body behind in Aryth. His ship was taken down by a stray magic-user, however. He lay unconcious for two days, until Faith returned to save him.

He returned with Faith to Albrook, where Faith went on trial for her crimes against the Grand Army. She was found guilty of all but one of the charges, but due to both the complexity of the situation and the fact that most of her superior officers were in a military exercize, she was forced to sit in a middle house. Kix took residence up again in Albrook, waiting for Faith to get out of prison.

Personality

In his former days, Kix was a womanizer and a ruffian, more a lose cannon than a trained Grand Army pilot. Behind his wild exterior, however, hid a man with a deep respect for life as well as an old fashioned romantisict. Despite the fact he loves the company of women, he is easily dissatisfied with material people, no matter how beautiful they may be. His taste in women was what eventually got his heart set on Faith Weist, a smart and sexy woman who was unfortunately his commanding officer.

Now adays, Kix is far more somber, if not depressed. Despite his his insistence to do otherwise, Faith turned herself into the Grand Army to be tried for the crimes she committed. Although Kix had finally won the woman over, it seemed she could very well be doomed to spend many years in a Grand Army military prison. Now fiercely loyal to her, he awaits her release in Albrook.

Other Information

His pride and joy craft, Ragnarok, is a supermodified Enemy Spitfire. The Spitfire`s original intentions were not for direct one on one combat, but Kix had redesigned it otherwise. The Ragnarok, loaded with many weapons and armor elements, a number of which could be illegal, is a force to be reckoned with.. a force that, many GA officials say, shouldn`t leave the ground. Since he was shot down in Aryth, Kix has been missing two fingers on his right hand. It has adversly affected his ability to pilot and shoot.
