Federal Security Bureau

The Federal Security Bureau, or FSB, was created in 37 WR and disbanded in 38 WR; it was a short-lived . AS part of the New Wraith's bid to manipulate the web, one of their agents, Sale Burners, a highly placed Tasnican Senator, sponsored a bill diverting funds for a security organization that would be able to take 'necessary actions for the defense of the Republic'. The FSB largely consisted of ex-sahdow operatives from AAA corporations. It possessed equipment that the Kuat Consortium would make openly available later, such as the Enforcer mecha.

During its breif existence the FSB was under the nominal control of Evax Cromen; however, given his addiction to the Naba'al spice, Sale Burners was the real power. The New Wraith used this independent military force to launch operations and entagle the Tasnican government without Rhodes Palmerston's knowledge; they were the first to strike in Ticondera, a move which finally shattered the struggling successor cabinet of Dain Kordridge. FSB forces also participated in New Wraith machinations in Alter-Mana.

After the end of the New Wraith, a Senate inquiry was held to determine the scope of FSB's plots and involvements; Evax Cromen died on an overdose of spice, however, and was unable to testify.

The spectre of the FSB and Tasnica's general distrust of governmental power led to the strict limitations on the operations of the RFIA. Some have argued that the RFIA shouldn't exist at all, that its mere existence is threat enough to the safety of people.
