Damcyan

Damcyan is a nation in the Crystal Dimension. The country is dominated by a large desert, and the major cities are either near oasis (Kaipo) or on the coast (Tripport). The country is currently occupied, and split between Toroia and Fabul. There are a number of resistance groups fighting to free the country, including the Damcyan Revolutionary Army.

During the Imperialist Era, competing communist and fascist movements vied against each other to replace the defunct Damcyanese monarchy. In the end, the Communists prevailed, setting the stage for a Crystalese front for the Leviathan War.

Sadly, the country was independent for less than ten years after the Great War. The Leviathan War was a disaster for Damcyan. Eager to claim a share of the spoils on the backs of the momentarily victorious Scandian League, Damcyan entered a fight the country was not prepared for. Under the leadership of Antonio Desrodio, they attempted to invade Fascist Fabul; however, they were soundly defeated in the Arderine Pass. Fabul and Toroia counter-attacked, necessitating the military intervention of the Scandian League. However, the military defeats severely damaged the government's credibility, and Damcyan collapsed and was occupied by Toroia and Fabul.

There is a stark difference between Fabul and Toroia's treatment of Damcyan. Toroia invested considerably in rebuilding its chunk of territory, centering on Kaipo, with the hope that Damcyan would eventually stand as part of a united Crystal Dimension. Fabul, however, has sucked its part of Damcyan dry of resources with a brutal occupation.

Officially, is one of two Crystalese member states of the Communist Protectorate, along with Mysidia.
