Toroia

Toroia is a nation in the Crystal Dimension, situated on the far Western end of the Transbaron continent. It is a famously matriarchal nation, historically ruled by a cabal of priestesses devoted to the nature goddess Alena. Following the devastation wrought in Toroia's woodlands by the Hivan War, Toroia underwent rapid infrastructural and political modernization, discarding their theocracy in favor of a republic, which eventually gave rise to strong Fascist influence. Toroia was a member of the Fascist Pact through the Leviathan War, though the horrifying destruction wrought by conflict with the Communist Protectorate made Toroia's leaders (particularly Tally Quorsen) rethink their hardline stance. Today, Toroia is a moderating influence in the Crystal Dimension; in particular Quorsen served as a mediator in the dispute between Eblan and Mysidia at the end of the Three Week War.
