Horus the Burning

A moogle Unbound pirate who terrorized the space lanes throughout much of the thirties. He received his nickname "the burning" for his crimson fur, and his ship, the Red Comet, was also painted bright red. What made Horus so successful as a pirate was his use of psionics. Moogles are a race naturally endowed with latent psionic potential. Horus was rumored to be subjected to secret military experiments (perhaps even The Celpo's Minder program) to expand his psychic potential, in particular, his reach. The result was that Horus was able to detect minds across interplanetary space. As a side-effect of the treatment he was also unreadable by most other psychics, even his Merge Moogle brethren. This ability allowed him to know exactly where he should strike and avoid traps.

Ultimately he was captured by a bounty hunter in 41 WR. The bounty hunter, Bloody Aldos, was a red mage marked with the rune of Othlorx and the pain the rune caused him while spellcasting was so overwhelming it prevented Horus from reading his intentions until it was too late. Currently imprisoned by Guardia.
