Urd is one of the three leaders of the Flying Fates JetBiker gang. He's a tall, lanky reptilian humanoid, complete with a snake-like tail and a long forked tongue. He best resembles a humanoid anole, always seen dressed in the uniform black leather jacket that bears the gang's insignia. He also wears leather pants (cut to accomodate his tail), but no additional clothing. His clawed feet go without shoes or boots, as he prefers them uncovered to aid him in climbing trees and other surfaces. While there are a small number of known reptilian-humanoid races in the Web, Urd does not seem to belong to any of them. He is wholly unique.

Urd's clairvoyant specialty is the Past. He can, at will, see specific images from the past, and has seen enough of the past to make him an unrivaled expert on the history of the universe. He is also gifted with psychometry, and can read the history of any item that he holds with a little concentration. In addition to his clairvoyant powers, Urd is a psionicist, specializing in psychometabolic, psychokinetic and metapsionic powers. Like an anole, Urd is able to change the color of his skin and camouflage himself. It is unclear whether this is a natural ability or part of his suite of psionic powers; though, as Urd is able to camouflage his clothing along with his skin, chances are it is the latter. Urd also produces a powerful venom from a gland under his tongue. He can poison knife blades by licking them with this venom, but he is also able to spit his poison at victims who are close enough to do so. The poison is highly fatal to humans.

Like Verthandi, Urd is a worshipper of the Goddess of Fate, and may even be her divine minion. Unlike Verthandi, Urd is far less gregarious and sociable: he is reserved and has little use for the pretenses of belonging to a biker gang (he's not even that fond of riding). Of the three leaders of the Fates, Urd is most frequently employed as an assassin. When the Fates were sent to stop Terence Shale and Yoshiko Morume from publishing a news story on the gang's connection with Khalid Morris (in an attempt by Shale to exhonnerate Norstein Bekkler during the ZAPS Corruption Hearings), it was Urd who killed Yoshiko with a poisoned knife as the pair attempted to flee.
