Skald is one of the three leaders of the Flying Fates JetBiker gang. He is a massive cyborg, part human and many parts machine. His torso is metal-plated, parts of his brain and spinal cord are enhanced with artificial neural-interface computer processors, both of his arms and both of his legs are cybernetic, and one eye and one ear have been replaced with bionic enhancements. The only visible skin is on half of his face. Skald wears is a large leather long coat with the sleeves cut off at the shoulders. His legs and torso are covered with a thick plastic body-mold that covers everything but his arms, neck and head. The body-mold is bulletproof and, if not for Skald's already formidable cybernetic body-plating, it might serve him as decent body armor.

Like Verthandi and Urd, Skald is a Seer, and his specialty is the Future. By concentrating, Skald can see the immidiate and all possible futures, though he does not always know which possible future is the most probable without Verthandi's guidance.

Skald's clairvoyance is the extent of his supernatural ability: all of his other talents are to do with technology, in particular computers and cybernetics. Skald possesses a small (but powerful) arsenal of weapons that are housed within his massive bionic arms. Among them are various laser cannons, at least one energy-sword weapon, and a flame thrower. He is suspected to also possess a colony of nanites within his body that aid his immune system and facilitate biological and mechanical regenerative processes, but this is not conclusively known. Skald is also a masterful computer and robotic programmer, but not because he took the time to learn how to write code. In fact, Skald is able to think in code naturally, due to his neural implants. He can interface, either wirelessly or through a hard-line, with virtually any known make or model of computer or robot. If Skald does not possess the proper cable to establish a hardline connection with a terminal, he can manufacture one in seconds after taking sufficient time to analyze the port he is trying to access (this is another argument for Skald's possession of a fairly advanced colony of nanites). Once a connection is established, AIs are almost always powerless to keep from bowing to Skald's will. Only supercomputers stand a chance to resist Skald's domination, but he is not above attempting to reason with intelligences that he is unable to control.

Recently, Skald has been meddling in the progress of a team of Guardian grant researchers who are working to develop a practical method to slip between parallel universes. In particular, he has been feeding information from the Future to one of the team's researchers, Professor Maxwell Arthur, in an apparent attempt to hurry along the group's progress. His reason for doing this is not yet known.
