Appearance

Ted Tuna is a giant among Primans -- physically speaking, anyway. Most Primans barely clear 5'5", but Ted stands a proud six feet. He wears the staple Priman paunch with pride. Tuna's fins are rigid, like those of an actual tuna, and his scales fade from dark blue on the top of his head and his back, to lighter, shining silver along his face, chin and underbelly. His eyes are a bright aqua-green in color, and they seem to twinkle whenever the old Priman is about to make a deal.

History

Ted Tuna grew up in Prima, the son of wealthy merchants. When the Dark Wrath and the GA went to war, Tuna left Prima and made his way to Tasnica, fleeing the destruction that had consumed the Dragon Dimension. He went into the publication business and, through a crafty legal maneuver, came to own the Tasnicaport Times. Thus were the seedlings of the Tuna media empire sown.

Over the years Tuna has muscled his way into the print and broadcast media across the Web. "There is not a household anywhere that has not at one time had a subscription to one of my papers, or had one of my programs broadcast into it," he's often fond of saying.

Tuna spent years trying to muscle his way into the Gate Dimension's crowded media markets. On a business trip to Gate, Tuna met and fell in love with the Medinan actress/personal fitness instructor, Jane Flounder. Jane was an Alterian Priman who emigrated to Medina, as was the trend among many Primans at the time. Tuna rescued Jane from the fires of the Medinan Civil War, and married her quick, taking her back to his estate in Winlan. Shortly after they were married, Tuna acquired the huge Tasnican mega-firm Tome/Werner. Tome/Werner had been in the movie, magazine and book businesses for many years; some of their noted corporate capillaries were the illustrious Tome Magazine and the Werner Brothers movie studios. These institutions were dissolved and absorbed into the growing TunaCorp organization -- Tuna even had the gall to efface away their names from the merger, declaring brazenly that he was bigger than Tome/Werner ever was, or ever would be.

Presently, with the sprawling TunaCorp empire branching out into interstellar commuter service, Ted Tuna is one of the wealthiest citizens of Tasnica, and so he and TunaCorp have the distinction of standing among the other titans of Tasnica's AAA Corporations.
