Ankiseth is a rising star in the Orders of Guardian Knighthood, and a strict adherent to the Guardian custom of staunchly conservative aristocracy. A product of a lesser Truce noble family, Ankiseth "married up", taking to wife a daughter of the prominent Dalton household. He served as a Squire to a Frog Knight named Julianos, who himself was once Squired to the late Sir Amphos, who served as Captain of the Square Table during the Syndicate Wars.

Ankiseth rose steadily through the ranks. He aquired his Silver Medal due to his heroism during the Cleansing Wars, and thereafter accepted a post at Fort Arris Academy, as an instructor to GDF soldiers hoping to earn promotion to the Officers Corps. It was here that he met John Dario in one of his classes. Ankiseth saw enormous promise in Dario, and believed he would one day be able to climb to the top of the GDF chain of command. But Ankiseth's expressed attitudes, especially with regard to entitlement versus merit, turned off the proud Chorran athlete, and he dropped out of the officers training course in favor of a post with CLEA.

In time, Ankiseth enjoyed further promotion to Gold Medal -- a feat in itself, given that his wife's family was disgraced and disposessed after the ascension of Archbishop Madrigal -- and with his bump in rank was awarded a field command in the war in the Merge Dimension. As leader of the Guardian contingent, Ankiseth commands the whole of the Coalition force in Merge, in consultation with his Eblanese, Balian, Hylandian and Kuat counterparts.

Knightly Gifts

As with all Guardian knights, Ankiseth's greatest assets are his armor and his sword. As a Frog Knight, Ankiseth dresses in shining gold plate, which offers protection as potent as mecha plating and serves to enhance the knight's strength. Ankiseth's Dreamstone broadsword, Steadfast, houses the spirit of a long-dead Guardian Knight, who powers the sword's enchantment and provides its wielder with enhanced willpower and resolve.

Ankiseth is also the proud owner of a very special mount, the white horse Mephisto. Mephisto is himself an enchanted warhorse, built for speed and the rigors of modern warfare. Mephisto is also highly intelligent, and in psychic attunement with his rider, is able to adhere to planned strategies and adapt when combat conditions change.
