Moonchild is the most popular gothic rock band in the Web. Founded in Bonro by Fabian Lysandir, the band is currently signed to Sera:Nova Records, and is working on their first studio album. Their first single, "Kiss", has enjoyed extensive airplay on pirate radio. Its B-side, a haunting, darkwave cover of Aria de Mezzo Caraterre, is one of the most downloaded songs on the OmniNet.

Lineup

Moonchild is managed by Jade Saizer, and her twin brother Valsu serves as the band's roadie.

Sound

Moonchild's sound is a sensual blend of Elven baroque, Eblanese visual kei and Bonran darkwave. Traces of Sanctuary, Fabian's first band, can be found in the more electronic-sounding ethereal beats. The band's sound is constantly evolving, however; Serena, who composes most of the music, has been experimenting with Tunlanese tribal sounds of late and they will no doubt find their way into the new album.

Moonchild's music, in 99% of cases, is directly lifted from a popular goth band called London After Midnight, with the Japanese visual-sounding stuff lifted from Gackt-era Malice Mizer. Fabian's voice sounds exactly like Sean Brennan's (lead singer of LAM), if one mixed in Gackt's falsetto and vocal gymnastics.
