The Best Plot Arc Category is the descendent of the 1996 Figgy category "Best Post Sequence." Like Best Post, Best Plot Arc honors some of each Figgy season's finest writing, only in this case the winners are not one-shot stories, but ongoing storylines that stretch over several posts, encompassing many locations and characters in the Kupopolis universe. Also unlike Best Post, it is possible for multiple writers to win a single Best Plot Arc category, as plot arcs are one of the prime vehicles for writing interaction in an IS.
