Gant

A race of anthromorphic oxen native to the Dragon Dimension. Commonly, the city and the surrounding region in the Dragon Dimension where these people originate is also commonly called Gant, though the technical name is Guntz. In the past this race was also sometimes known as the Iron Ogre clan, but "Gant" has become the accepted usage.

Gants are physically large and immensely strong and powerful -- an adult is between six and eight feet tall, and can weigh between 300 and 500 pounds. Not surprisingly, they are well-represented in the Scandian League Combined Military. SLCM practice deliberately fields mixed race units, and gants often serve as the heavy weapon specialists.

Historically, they have also been among the more technologically inclined races of the dimension, using their great skill to make famed armor and weapons. Even in modern times, it is an important industrial region for the Scandian League as the location several key manufacturing plants such as the Zavod imeni Rumanski.
