An ad-hoc alliance that formed between several nations who opposed the expansion of the Communist Protectorate in the late 40's WR. Lead primarily by the Kingdom of Guardia, and formed at its behest, the Coalition was formed out of a handful of like-minded states willing to lend military support behind an effort to push back the Communist spread that began in earnest after the close of the Leviathan War.

List of Members

The Coalition has no founding document, nor any structure to its alliance beyond the formal alliances between Guardia and Bal, and Guardia and Eblan. The only three formal members of the Coalition were Guardia, Eblan and The Kuat Consortium; Bal is a member only because the cause celebre of the Coalition's armed intervention in Merge was the reconquest of the Balian homeland.

The following list is an accounting that is given by the Guardian Ministry of Foreign Affairs whenever asked about who, exactly, belongs to this Coalition. Most of these nations have never been approached in any formal capacity with the question of whether or not they would like to belong to a Coalition lead by Guardia. Instead, the Guardians seem to assume that if you are against Communism and Scande, you must be part of the Coalition.

Major Undertakings

In 46 and 47 WR, the Coalition began combat operations in the Merge Dimension aimed at ultimately liberating the Kingdom of Bal's home province from the control of Merge League-backed Quelb. This began with a siege and assault on the Kingdom of Surgate, which had facilitated Protectorate arms smuggling to the Quelban insurgents. When Surgate's capital fell, the Coalition mustered a larger force for the operation on the Balsan continent.

Currently, forces representing Guardia, Eblan, Bal and Hyland have occupied the capital of Quelb and are moving toward liberating the Balian capital. It appears to be only a matter of time before the Coalition claims its first victory in the war against Communist aggression.

Coalition Allied Navy

Of major significance, and result of the alliance between the Coalition's three largest members, was the creation of the Coalition Allied Navy: a jointly-operated naval force created with the purpose of countering the Protectorate's strength in the sea. The creation of this fleet was a direct response to Guardia's utter lack of any kind of sea-power, and the decimation of Eblan's naval force during the Three Week War.
