One of five continental land-masses in the Gate Dimension, Southeast of Medina and South of Geno. With Geno and half of Medina, Chorras makes up Gate's Eastern Hemisphere. Also included as part of the Chorran continent is the island of Giant's Claw, which is one of only a few places in Gate where Reptites and ther Saurian lifeforms have survived.

Chorras' native population is dark-to-olive skinned, related to the human stock that is currently dominant in Medina. It was colonized by Guardia and Zenan during the 400's, but aquired de facto independence in the year 600 AD following the Magus' War. The Chorrans would not establish their own formal independent government until the year 1020 AD, when the city of Truce was sieged and conquered by the Porreans, bringing a temporary end to Guardian dominance of the Gate Dimension.

Chorras is divided into four prefectural states, and at one time had both a Senate and a Governor. Chorras has the distinction of being the first truly democratic nation in the Gate Dimension.

During the Syndicate Wars, Chorras was conquered by the Trann Syndicate. Doan Pendouris and the Arris Syndicate linked up with the Chorran Resistance and the Doomguard and managed to expel Trann's garrison, after which time Chorras became an important ally and source of supply for Arris and the Nobles. When Arris prevailed and Doan was made King, Chorras' four prefectures were annexed into part of the larger kingdom (along with Porre, which had also been conquered by Trann).

Currently, several of the elements of Chorran leadership who were once allied with Doan are now plotting to secede from the Kingdom.
