Astyryos was the Red Bull of Gant. Legend holds that the mountain ranges in the Gant region were not caused naturally, but rather are the result of Astyryos' horns and hooves tearing up the earth. He was a powerful Titan, whose allegiance was greatly valued by all other Titans.

Astyryos was not an especially bright creature, but he was among the most powerful Titans known. He willingly served as a war mount to Aluqah, and helped Razboynik by pulling an enormous plough to channel the river of blood throughout the Scandish valley. The only Titan that Astyryos did not like, and would never work with, was Durandal.

In myth, the Bull's features are often described in such a way that most believe he was part Dragon: his tongue was forked, his tail was lizard-like and his skin was covered in red metallic scales. While Astyryos did not breathe fire, he was able to wreathe himself in an aura of flame that would burn whatever he touched or touched him.

Astyryos kept slaves in his holdings in Gant, and forced his slaves to work forges to produce arms and armor for Razboynik's mortal Blackguard soldiers. To mark his slaves as his property, and ensure that they could not find asylum if they escaped, Astyryos cursed the men and women of Gant to have the heads and features of bulls. In this way he is credited with creating the modern race of Gants.
