A JetBike gang that has earned a fearsome reputation in the Northern provinces of the Zenan continent in the Kingdom of Guardia. The name "Flying Fates" refers both to the gang's rank-and-file members -- who are distinguished by wearing black leather jackets bearing the above insignia on the back -- and more specifically to the triumvirate that leads the gang:

Verthandi, a tanned, greasy, pot-bellied man who to all outward appearances seems like an average human. He is anything but: as with his two peers, Verthandi is a potent Seer who is constantly aware of the Present. As master of the Present, he also has limited pre- and post-cognitive senses. He is also supernaturally strong, has some command and understanding of magic and arcane practices, and may possess other powers that are not yet documented.
Skald, a large, thickly-built cyborg, whose organic components are outnumbered only just by his bionic add-ons (which include both arms and legs, part of his brain and spinal cord, an eye and an ear). Skald is able to see into the Future, and while he seems entirely non-magical, the realms of technology (especially computer and robotic programming) are completely open to him. His various robotic parts house a small arsenal of devastatingly powerful weaponry, including several lasers, a beam-sword and a flame-projector.
Urd, a tall, lanky reptilian humanoid. While he bears several superficial traits in common with other reptilian sentients in the Web, Urd does not seem to belong to any known species. Urd's clairvoyant powers extend far into the Past: he is a font of obscure and even unknown historical and pre-historical data, stretching back to the very beginning of time. Of the three, Urd speaks the least frequently. He has displayed psionic ability in previous encounters, and as part of his mastery of all things Past he has an uncanny knack for psychometry (psychically reading the history of an item by touching it). Urd produces a powerful venom from a gland in his mouth, which he uses by licking the blade of a knife and then attacking with it. His poison is very fatal to humans; it is unknown if any races in the Web have any resistance to it.

The Fates and their enigmatic leaders are known devotees of the Goddess of Fate. She is often credited as being the source of the Flying Fates' mystical powers, especially their claivoyant senses. The gang also is rumored to have had ties or dealings with Chancellor Khalid Morris, but this connection has not been proven.

The Flying Fates are involved in a number of illicit activities, in particular extortion and drug trafficking (especially pyra). Their sphere of activity is fairly limited: the gang itself operates mostly out of rural North Zenan, though the gang's mystical leaders often travel wherever they please to advance their mysterious interests. It is unclear if the Fates have any direct connection with the druglords of the Velorian Islands region of Medina, or any other major traffickers of pyra for that matter.
