Manacalibur

Fantasy weapon-based fighting game revolving around the Mana Sword. Each character has a distinctive weapon and fighting style.

Sample Manacalibur characters:

• Astrid Sky-Eyes is the game's representative Valkyrie, much to the ire of Roxanne. Her dual-bladed style gives her good speed and power; she is a favorite among new players.
• Isokaru Eblana, "The Master with the Iron Crutch", is a deceptive character. His attacks do little damage, however, a skilled player can create a long chain of staff combos. He is considered a high-skill character.
• A version of the Mana Knight appears in-game, a warrior with spiky hair. Fara Somers points out that the Mana Sword doesn't really work like it does in game.
• Justina Tereshkova, a Red Star, brings the il'Bleu order's signature fighting chains and body-bending martial arts to the fray. (Her attacks look really cool when you pull them off!)
• Manta has long been rumored to be a secret character, but no one has managed to unlock him.
• Sahl Endeberg was not included at launch, however he was added later in "Manacalibur: Beloved Edition" after the massive fan outcry demanded his inclusion.
• Sir Cyrus, the legendary Guardian Knight, is a favorite character for his strong armor and defense (though he is considered somewhat slow)
• Link, though the makers of the game totally claim it is NOT Alexander Sylinas but a version of the character from Hyrule's mythic past. Link is a good sword and shield fighter equipped with a bow and arrow, and bombs.
• Joneleth the Paladin, who can call upon Tahranic powers of light as part of his ultimate moves
