Talk:Aldur

If you're looking through the old posts I think you're looking at, you'll also find that Aldur (probably) forged the Triforce. That, combined with the fact that Hyrulians at least once invoke Aldur, sort of muddled whether he or Chaldan was patron of Hyrule, or what Aldur's relationship with Hyrule was. Still, given how that's all 1995 stuff, I defer to Aurora/Mike in sorting all this out. It's probably not a huge deal given present-day Narcolism. --Celiose 20:08, 4 April 2008 (PDT)

Yes, I am looking through the old posts  :-p And while I probably am missing quite a bit of material, one of the posts I have that mentions Aldur has Chrystalis explaining (in that expository voice she was known for back in the day) that Aldur has no nation associated with him. ... that having been said, he probably was still associated with Hyrule (based on what you say), so it would make sense that his scholar-cult was dominant in Eastern Light in the pre-Great War era.
But yes, let's do defer to Aurora and see what she has to say on it. I was just filling out red-links. --Scen 23:55, 4 April 2008 (PDT)

Aldur distinctly didn't have a nation or a people that he looked out for. He and his original group of disciples lived in Hyrule but that was it. He was the one that "figured out" the Triforce and showed the royal family how to use it after Chaldan determined that they should have it, but beyond that he wasn't actually committed to the people or anything.

If we're using a familial analogy, Chaldan would be Dad, and Aldur would be a godparent or somebody that occasionally kept an eye on the kids while Dad was off at work. --Aurora 14:51, 6 April 2008 (PDT)
