Sahuagin are icthioid humanoids native to the Crystal, Mana and Alter Dimensions. Crystalese Sahuagin were driven from the surface seas ages ago by the Damcyanese, and now dwell only in the subterranean waters ruled by the Drow, where they often find themselves captured and drawn into slavery by the Dark Elves. In Mana, Sahuagin are native to the Pandora region, but are also found as one of the many races that makes up Tasnica. On Alter-Mana, the Sahuagin are native to Naba'al, and are also found on Bucca island.

Physical Characteristics

Sahuagin appearances tend to be more exaggerated and fish-like than even Primans. Sahuagin have thick scales that are either green, blue-green or gold in color, and their bodies are lined with impressive rows of fins along their arms, legs and one long fin that runs from the crests on their heads down their backs along the spine. Sahuagin hands and feet are webbed, their eyes are large and adapted for enhanced underwater vision, and multiple rows of teeth like a shark. Crystalese Sahuagin tend to be tall and lanky, while those from Mana and Alter-Mana are often squat and pudgy.

All Sahuagin are fully adapted to survival in both salt and fresh water. Curiously, they are also adapted for survival in the desert: for centuries the Crystalese strain was a constant menace to the Damcyanese merchant lanes, until they were eventually driven into the underground by the Damcyanese army. To this day, Alter-Manan Sahuagin make up one of the minority races in Naba'al, and form one of the largest nonhuman contingents in Naba'al's volunteer navy.
