Rilauven, the City of Spires, is located several weeks march to the east of Lith My'athar, approximately under the Damcyanese desert. In terms of sheer size, it is the largest of the Seven Cities of the Dark Elves, and like Zhanduril, consists of a singular cavern (though its cavern is far, far larger than Zhanduril's).

Rilauven earned its name for the city's plethora of stalactites. All Drow cities have them, and use them as dwellings of one sort or another, but in Rilauven there are very little freestanding structures on the cavern floor. This has led to a city even more starkly divided along class lines than in the average Drow city; the nobility, who alone possess the in-born ability to levitate, lives in the glittering, beautiful stalactite towers and the underclass and slaves lives on the cavern floor. Pathways are built for slaves, servants and the like to serve their noble masters.

The largest known temple of Sindrai'el in the world is found in Rilauven, a massive web of stalactite towers connected by pathways of shimmering calcified web much like that found in the streets of Karsoulithyl. It lies in the heart of the city as an adjunct to the ruling House Eilsana's massive compound. The temple was built in antiquity when the city was founded, as a direct challenge to Sindrai'el's Disciples.

Matron Alystin Eilsana, First Matron of Rilauven, heads the ruling council. She is particularly known for her devotion to the Spider Queen, and has made no secret that she wishes to join the ranks of her Disciples.
