Although the various Web militaries all have their unique terminology, "Regiment" remains fairly common and consistent. It is the smallest combined-arms unit capable of independent operations. The exact number of soldiers tends to vary from military to military; Grand Army and Ticondera tend to use an "extra heavy" organization.

Most Great Powers can put together 40-50 regiments of various types. Larger independent nations like Eblan can put together around 20-25.

At its peak, the Grand Army had over 150 extra-strength regiments; the Dark Wrath had over 200, but Burzmale Julian felt the organization was messy. Current GA regimental strength is hotly contested in budgetary battles.

Above the regimental level, organization varies widely. The GA organizes any number of regiments into an Field Army, which can vary in size from five to seventeen regiments. Regiments stay together in an army, and some of the army-level units have quite a storied history. Second Army ("Heavy Metal"), for example, is a tank-heavy army that takes pride in its offensive operations in the great war. The GA at one point had ten armies and a large number of "floaters" as a reserve, it currently only has six armies (the First, Second, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Tenth.)See Grand Army for more details. Above the army is the Army Group, which has responsibility for an entire theater of operations.

The Scandian League attaches and detaches its regiments as needed from its various Task Forces, which represent SLCM's major theaters of operations. SLCM Task Force commands also have units from SLCM-Air, SLCM-Sea, and SLCM-Space. Outside of Dragon, SLCM has four main Task Forces: Task Force Stoat (Crystal), Task Force Timberwolf (Ticondera), Task Force Foxhound (Esper Dimension Occupied Zone), and Task Force Tidehunter (mainly SLCM-Sea units, operating in Medina's Velorian islands.)

Tasnica's Republic Marine Corps mixes about eight regiments together in each of its three Regimental Combat Teams (Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy.) The RMC claims to be able to have an RCT anywhere on the Core's main worlds within 48 hours.
