Firstborn daughter of King Margayya Pandora, and Queen of Pandora from Margayya's death to her own death at the hands of the New Wraith in 38 WR.
Her succession to the throne was somewhat complicated; Guardia felt it had a strong claim to the throne after Margayya's death through Naraya Pandora. Although, as eldest, Nalini was next-in-line, she was (fairly or not) seen as the 'Tasnican pick' for the throne. Even though relations between Guardia and Tasnica were warming at the time, Tasnica did not want a rival Great Power to gain a foothold in its backyard (even though Tasnica itself was in the process of doing the same in the Esper Dimension and the Dragon Dimension.) Guardia eventually backed down on its claim, largely at Naraya's insistence.
Unlike her sister, who had converted to Elementalism, Nalini was a follower of her family's traditions as worshippers of Chrystalis, though she herself was not especially religious and did not evidence the magical potential that Naraya had. Nalini was known as an 'amiable dunce', who was bothered by implications that she was the 'dumber, uglier sister'. Despite this perception, Nalini was actually an incredibly capable ruler, and was much smarter at negociating with other leaders (even Rhodes Palmerston) than most gave her credit for. Even so, Nalini made few waves during her time as Queen, and largely kept Pandora along the same political course that had previously been charted by her father and grandmother before her.
The New Wraith was able to build up a surprisingly powerful Pandoran military under her nose, lead by Pandoran General (and the New Wraith's picked man in Pandora), Numbfh. Numbfh then lead a coup which was supposed to have wiped out all members of the royal family, and assumed leadership of Pandora himself. In the wake of the New Wrath's defeat, Numbfh legitimized his rule by producing a royal heir to the throne, Zacharias Pandora, whom Numbfh claims is Nalini's son. Serving as Zacharias' Regent, Numbfh has managed to retain power in Pandora to this day.
