The first born of the Mitsuhama house, one of Eblan’s most prestigious noble houses. Ichiro was something of a prodigy; before he was a teenager he had already mastered three martial arts and earned two college degrees. He seemed destined to be the pride of his House. Then, his passenger ship wrecked up on the slum city of Hope, in Eblan. Shocked by the conditions of squalor, he began to use his position as heir to Mitsuhama to agitate for more rights for the so-called Provisional citizens. For a time, he was regarded merely as an oddity, but King Edge VIII took Ichiro seriously enough to launch the Decree of Popular Good. For a time Ichiro was satisfied. However, he became disappointed with the slow workings of the Diet and the lack of progress. He began to think that the only way to really get anything done was to tear down the whole rotten edifice of the Eblanese nobility. He began to espouse communistic ideals. His father’s final act was to disown Ichiro, his only son, leading to the unusual situation of Mistuhama where a woman (Ichiro’s mother Yamana) is in charge of a royal house. The Eblanese Communist Party split into the more moderate faction, the Party of Democratic Socialism, and Ichiro’s more radical People’s Revolutionary Party. The PRP (along with the Fascist) was banned from the Diet. Whereas the Fascists largely integrated with the Hemocrats, the PRP went underground. There, Ichiro plans for a communist revolution in Eblan. During this time Ichiro had many contacts with the Scandian Leage and S/31, and trained a few operatives in his knowledge of ninjitsu, including Sonya Hellcova, who he became romantically involved with. Despite having fallen from grace, Seiji Kyuzo, House Mitsuhama's ninja master, remained loyal to Ichiro, and swore to protect and follow his lord wherever he went (despite Ichiro's repeated protests). His plans for the revolution came to a head during the March 16th Incident. Ichiro and some of his followers attempted to seize the airport and bring in reinforcements for a coup. Too late, however, he realized he had been manipulated by King Edge Eblana VIII. He is currently imprisoned; the King may not kill a nobleman. (Although he was told by his own mother to commit Seppeku).
