Franklin Yeats is a native of Lutzen, one of the small islands off of Tasnica’s coast. The son of a military family, there was no question that Frank would join up when he become of age. He landed a prestigious assignment in the REF, and served with distinction in the NAMAC campaign. He is famous for extricating his unit from an otherwise disastrous intervention in Ticondera, an exploit that earned the young Hauptmann the Senatorial Cross of Honor. Frank’s attentions then turned to politics, and he came into the Senate as part of the Conservative sweep in 17 WR. A longtime hawk, Frank clashed with other members of his party, going so far as to launch an intraparty challenge for Prime Minister against Rhodes Palmerston in 35 WR (Frank was soundl beaten.) However, when Rhodes did not run in 40, and Vorten Tuinne bowing out, Frank become the Conservative party’s nominee for Prime Minister in 40 WR. He has the dubious distinction of being the first Conservative to lose a Prime Minister race in two centuries. Many people believe that there were a series of tactical mistakes by Frank, including his tendency to surround himself with yes-men, his hard line anticommunist, and failing to come to terms with the core anti-Big Business streak of his opponent’s message. Despite this, Frank did almost win, and Kenneth Brackhaven became Prime Minister on the narrowest of margins. Having left his Senate seat to run for Prime Minister, Frank began to flounder a bit. He served a stint as a fellow at the Tasnicaport-based defense think tank Center for National Security Studies. Recently, however, he has surfaced in the city of Moogles.
