Dawn Revolution

The name for the Communist Revolution in the Scandian League that took place in 27-8 WR, just after the Great War.

The Scandian League was created in the wake of the Great War as there were no obvious claimants to rebuilding the Scandish Empire or Aradia. These two countries had fallen near the start of the war, and though occasionally liberated, there was never anyone to come in to 'pick up the pieces' as in the Crystal Dimension. Starting a new, democratic country seemed like the best way.

This being the Dragon Dimension, this all went horribly wrong. The elected government proved incredibly corrupt, allowing foreign corporations in the country to strip mine the nation for resources. The Presidium made no effort to feed the people, rebuild cities in ruins from the GA's strategic bombing campaign, or recover farmland from the Dark Wrath's indiscriminate use of chemical weapons.

Caidin's revolution in Ticondera gave hope for a new, revolutionary ideology. TheAll-Union Communist Party (of the Dragon Dimension) espoused Three Pillars: Solidarity. Socialism. Collectivism. With people starving in the streets, it was easy to engineer a general strike to cause mass chaos. The government ultimately capitulated when the Scandian League Combined Military refused to enforce a decree of martial law.

The communist party was firmly in power, though it would be some time before Travin Rumanski would depose of his rivals and emerge as the unquestioned dictator of the League.
