Stacia is attractive, athletic, and has an unusually musical voice. She and several other Senators have a group known as the “Singing Senators” which put on shows for their cohorts. Largely on the basis of her telegenic qualities, she became Proconsul, on the assumption that she would be a better public face for the Populists than Prime Minister Kenneth Brackhaven. She is much more combative than Kenny, however, and much less willing to compromise with the Conservatives, particularly on social issues. While Kenny’s main focus is fighting the corps, Stacia places this goal on equal footing with issues such as abortion (she’s pro-life) and gay marriage (against it). She’s condescending or even insulting to her opponents, leading her to sometimes unwittingly play ‘bad cop’ to Kenny’s ‘good cop’.

Stacia comes from the upper classes of Tasnica, and by the age of 20 she had already earned her law degree from the Palmerston School She seemed set to the wealthy life of ease of a corporate lawyer, but then she discovered Rainere. She was forced to question if she was really on the Good Path, really living the best possible life she could lead. She moved to the LeGuin colony and practiced labor law there, and eventually became one of the colony’s Raineric Priests. (For most Raineric Priests the clerical duties are a part time job). She moved to the Senate, where she believed she could do more good—part of the ‘young turks’ generation of Populists. As one of the first Populists to really harness devout Rainerics as a constituency, she rose fairly quickly through the Party ranks and is no one of the youngest Proconsuls in Tasnican history.

Recently Stacia has moved to try to be more visible in the party, sponsoring an (as of yet unpassed) bill that would ban drugs such as pyra in the Tasnica Republic.
