History
A nefarious mercenary during the days before the Great War, Sliver worked for the highest bidder, no matter what the job, and she was successful in most all of her endeavors. An expert in disguise and espionage, she was often sought out by people who needed things done.
Sliver found a steady job, however, during the Great War, when the special operatives organization [[The Celpo}Celpo]] was founded in the Grand Army. The head of the organization, a man named Praxer, heard of Sliver`s considerable skill and decided to recruit her. Sliver had no qualms whatsoever - some of the work was dirty, but the pay was extraordinary.
That was, until Sliver got in over her head. One what she thought was a routine mission, she was commanded to stand guard for a Tasnican scientist who had developed a technique to improve the versatility of the Grand Army`s most valued tanks, dubbed King Leo. It was considered the Dark Wrath might take a stab at the man, and Sliver was to make sure that wouldn`t happen.
She was encountered with a Baneling that night, however -- a stealth creature that very nearly killed her and the scientist. She barely squeezed through alive, but only through the help of a young woman who seemed to know exactly how to defeat the thing, and who had showed up at that exact time in that exact place.
The young woman later revealed her name to be Rudra Tairen, a founder of a secret organization called the OmniSent. Sliver listened as Rudra unfolded her tale, an interestingly dark tale that caught Sliver`s attention. Rudra offered Sliver to join, but Sliver turned down the offer, at the time not bothered by morals.
Time passed, however, and Sliver saw things. Witnessed events that changed her opinions. Praxer had thrown orders through the Celpo that disregarded human life, especially fanatical directly after the Great War. Sliver`s jobs became less demanding in challenge and instead more inhumane in their work -- orders that would have her kill children and innocents just to make sure the job went through well enough. Sliver normally could have worked through this, but the woman Rudra had succeeded in planting a seed of morality, one that whispered to Sliver whenever a spare moment passed.
At last, Sliver found herself as part of the OmniSent. She still carried out orders for the Celpo, despite her greatest qualms, but she also fed some of the most valuable information directly into OmniSent. She enjoys her work for Celpo, and still does, which is why is not largely suspected by her superiors. (Though trust obviously runs thin between colleagues in Celpo) Over the years she has become fiercely loyal to the OmniSent, and Rudra Tairen in particular, and is very nearly ready to give up her life for the organization and its cause, even after its corruption at the hands of Roland Boderick.
Disposition: Sliver is prideful almost to the point of arrogance, though she doesn`t often look down on those around her. She`s very carefree and laid back, and makes no secrets of her "healthy" sexual appetites, her lust for luxury, or her love for new experiences. Though she spent most of her time as a loner, and still does, she has recently found herself with feelings of strong loyalty towards Rudra Tairen.
Other Information: Sliver`s actual name is River Aurora. She borrowed the identity to Rudra Tairen when she went into hiding.
