Dwarven Skull Empire

Nation of underwater dwarves in the Merge Dimension, and one of the only non-GACA nations of any size.

The dwarfs of Underworus were united by Dack Stonescyth during the Age of Imperialism. Dack aligned his new nation with the Fascist Pact, giving the fascists a huge presence in the Fringe. The nation's early growth was fueled by its vast magilyte wealth, which the Kuat Consortium helped to exploit.

The DSE clashed with the Merge League in the Leviathan War in 35 WR, beginning the war with one of the greatest atrocities in Web history. Using various DSE agents who had became part of SRAN to launch a massive orbital bombardment on the Merge League city of Istory, causing the death of millions. This outrageous act drew condemnation from across the web, including the DSE's notional allies, the Esper Union and becoming one of the only nations ever to be expelled from GACA.

Despite this, the war ground on. Although the DSE was initially quite successful in seizing territory from the Merge League, the return of Alkar turned the tide around and by the end of the war only Tycoon was in DSE hands.

The fact that the DSE is almost entirely underwater keeps it very safe, despite the fact that is hated and despised by most of the Web. The Kriegsnavee has supposedly developed plans, but this would require the construction of a vast underwater armada for basically only one purpose and the Alliance Congress has balked at the cost. The current strategy to deal with the odious regime of Dack has been one of economic and political isolation. Despite this, Dack remains in charge, even participating in the Robotics Tournament.

The DSE has many rich veins of magilyte, but as the DSE is the target of trade sanctions by virtually the entire Web, it has had to turn to Unbound smugglers.
