NAMAC
NAMAC stands for the Nikeah and Mobliz Army Corps.
After the Esper Dimension was discovered by the rest of the Web in 4 WR, the Tasnica Republic saw an opportunity in a politically divided, resource-rich dimension with advanced technology. The Republic believed it could bribe, cajole, and intimidate most of the dimension into siding with it against Ticondera. Tasnica succeeded in annexing Albrook, a newly vital port, almost immediately.
Alexander Colby, and many others, were alarmed at the prospect of bowing down before an extradimensional tyrant. Gathering several free cities of Esper, he vowed to fight for his homeland.
The "NAMAC Conflict" lasted ten years (4-14 WR; it was one of many conflicts in the Great War). Although the Tasnicans rapidly acquired Esperian rifles, it took time for them to adapt their tactics and training to its usage. This led to their catastrophic defeat at the Battle of the Isthmus, near what is today Hosluftgrad. The Tasnicans suffered several other defeats, but eventually put Comte Julian in charge of the Republic Expeditionary Force. Julian was able to fight Colby on a more level playing field. Meanwhile, the diplomatic efforts of Rhodes Palmerston won over key Esperian allies, such as Maranda, Doma, and Figaro. These forces combined were able to defeat Colby's remaining NAMAC troops at Albrooker Plain.
Today many in the Esper Union think of NAMAC with pride, as a forerunner of dimensional unity.
