History
Endeberg (known throughout the City of Kupopolis simply as "The Chief") has headed the City's police department for just over fifteen years. As Police Chief, Endeberg was one of the City's three most powerful political figures. His tenure has been marked by brutality and quasi-fascistic methods, but his results are the bedrock upon which his popularity is based: nearly all violent crime in the City has been restricted to the Demon and Dead Quarters -- the latter of which Endeberg has tried unsuccessfully to bring fully under Police control, and the former of which Endeberg was content to see slip into a squallid, gang-ridden slum.
A Baronian Dragoon, and Grand Army combat veteran, Endeberg is very no-nonsense and heavy handed when it comes to meting out justice. For this he often came to blows with his counterpart, High Justice Kubanez, who has run Kupopolis' court system for only a little longer than Endeberg has been Police Chief.
When the City decided it might try to elect a new mayor, Endeberg retired from the Kupopolis Police Department and threw his hat into the ring as a candidate. He promised to extend his "Order by the Sword" policies into the Mayoral office and continue his own legacy of safe streets and an empowered police force. Sadly, Sahl Endeberg never got a chance to fulfill his campaign promises. He was killed in the first round of the second Robotics Tournament.
