Jim was at university with Aly Halberg, Keaton Error and Maerius Chikara on a full ride baseball scholarship. He often made a habit of hanging out at Aly's dorm, since she, Kara Tuinne and Maerius were the only girls on campus who didn't treat him like a god. Keaton, for his part, treated him like a self-absorbed jerk.
