'Seraphim' has two meanings in the Kupopolis Universe; one being the name of nearly indestructible plastic, and the other being the giant robots made mostly of that plastic. This plastic has the abilities withstand some of the most powerful magic and the strongest weaponry. Their only known weaknesses are very strong lasers, well placed shots to specific joints, and other Seraphim.

Seraphim Machines
- The second definition for Seraphim is the flexible and light agile robot-like machines made out of the plastic. These machines are piloted, yet many have simple computer intelligence to operate the complex robotics. Over the years there has been several variants of the Seraphim design, but any robot made out of the seraphim plastic is considered a Seraphim.
History
- Seraphim machines were originally made by the Diamond corporation to defend its deep space cargo shipments, and later implemented to be sold for other companies. These Seraphim had very little weaponry, yet had the ability to switch into a jet-like configuration. This lead to a Seraphim robot operator to be considered a `pilot.` Development of the space-defending Seraphim went steadily as a few hundred were made.
- However, difficulties within the company altered the direction in Seraphim development. Lead by a new CEO, the Seraphim machines were mass produced and assembled to be sold to various minor fringe countries. As more Seraphim were created, the designs were altered and the space flying Seraphim design was dropped. The new design for the machines changed the core body torso to be made universal, with several areas for features and appendages to be customized onto the basic machine. This lead to four slots used in places where arms and legs would be appropriate, four slots placed in a cross shape on the back, and four minor slots placed on the shoulders and on each side of the pilot`s area on the chest of the machine, and one slot for the `head`. In this design, countless Seraphim machines were created and stored for later sale.
- The second set of seraphim, the `Dark Seraphim` was made by a second company under shady dealings. These Seraphim are far more common, but made using metal parts and unpure seraphim. Later, as dealing between the two companies became more undercover and intense, the second company created seraphim machines directly for war applications. In these later machines, more and more "true type" Seraphim machines were created.
- To counter this, Diamond made a few "true type" Seraphim and outfitted them with the best technology available. Unlike the black market dealing of the second company, the Diamond Company was able to add certain abilities into their Seraphim that the rival company could not.
- However, with time the black market 'Dark Seraphim' fell apart as the seraphim plastic which they were molded from was not true to formula. Under Dimaond's third CEO, Abdiel Zion, the company has been selling Seraphim robots on and off for the past few years depending on the buyer and situation.
Types of Seraphim
- There have been several Seraphim created over the years--some custom models for individuals while others were alterations on the original design.
Sera-T
- The orginal mass produced Seraphim, the design called for modular parts to be switched if damaged in battle. This Seraphim design came in two models, the flying 'Seraphim' model and the ground unit 'Cherub.' Several prototypes of different modules were created but never went into production--the most famous being the Diamond Teleportation Device, known as the Dimensional Jump Drive.
Seraphim-R
- A new model of Seraphim, the Seraphim-R differs from its previous model, the Sera-T, in two very important respects; the Seraphim-R is not modular, and its method of propulsion is based on a eletromagnetic energy emitting engine. This removes the bulky fuel tanks that some seraphim used in space combat, and allows for land-to-space operations, as the plastic stands up to the stress of reentry. Presently there is only one prototype of this design.
Balseraph
- These were Seraphim created by the New Wraith which were more biological robotic organisms capabale of space flight than robots. Their skin was of Seraphim and it took the aid of a new Grand Army force of Seraphim, later to be known as the Malakim to defeat them.
