Warkaster

Term used in the Grand Army for a magic user assigned to platoon level support. Unlike many forces which create units entirely out of magic users, in the GA magic users are integrated with units of Grenadiers. (Warkasters can also be found in units of Regulars and GA Tank Troops, but this is far less common.) Terms also used are battle mages and combat mages. Drawn from magical traditions across the Web, and even a few psionics, although Warkasters are always practicioners of combat-oriented magics.
