Wilhelm Schweiz is on his third trophy wife now. He’s ridiculously wealthy. He dresses opulently, with excessive amounts of rings. He was incredibly greedy, but was so effective in managing the Kuat Drive Yards he was promoted to head up Kuat Motors. Unsatisfied with this, he sold a bunch of corporate secrets to Saeder-Krupp in a major scandal. Schweiz is now wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice. After that, a funny thing happened. Maybe he found religion, or maybe the horrors of the Leviathan War were enough to move even his craven spirit. He was moved by Rhodes Palmerston’s commitments to a New Peace, and although he had seemed to ignore the Omnisent when it first rose, he also rediscovered the rhetoric of Rudra. Determined to keep Tasnica out of war, he used his fortune to found the National Alliance for Peace. Today, NAP has millions of members and chapters in every major Tasnican city. Its endorsement of Kenneth Brackhaven over Franklin Yeats was considered decisive in the election. Political protests coordinated by the National Alliance for Peace were also decisive in persuading Kenny to not pursue Tasnican intervention in the communist revolution in Kuvalla, and recently have taken to the streets over Guardia's 'warmongering' and insisting Tasnica cut all trade ties (according to Schweiz, Guardia is now 'the greatest threat to peace in the Web'.) The impact of these protests remains to be seen; Tasnica's official policy on the war in Merge seems to be to cover its ears, close its eyes, and hope it all goes away soon.
