Popular massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) set during the Great War; as its name implies, player characters take on the role of various heroic archetypes fighting for the Grand Army. A small (but quite vocal) contingent of players is consistently agitating for playable Dark Wrath characters.

Some have criticized it as being little more than a glorified Grand Army recruiting tool. Ironically, the GA had nothing to do with the production, and hasn't seen a cent from the game's profits.

Although initially popular, a number of players claim that the Siege of Trianable expansion ruined the game forever. Some of them played Battle Engine Online for a few months before coming back.
