Private Ivan "Vanya" Dubov was an engineering officer on the Reinhardt. He picked up the nickname Vanya specifically to differentiate himself from Ivan Zdravko, whom Vanya has personally described as "an odious toad."
History
The youngest of four children, Vanya Dubov was born and raised in Albrook after his parents fled Scande in the wake of the Great War. He soon showed an aptitude for mechanics and was soon tapped for work in the Grand Army, and then SAGA specifically. The Reinhardt was his first posting.
Personal Life
Alexei Dubov, Vanya's father, died during the Leviathan War. This left his mother Olga to raise him and his siblings, Vladimir, Andrei, and Katarina, alone. Vanya and his brothers were fiercely protective of their sister, sometimes to her annoyance. Vladimir runs a supermarket in Albrook, Andrei is a police officer, and Katarina was trying to pursue a career as a singer/actress.
Vanya got on well with most of the Reinhardt crew.
Vanya had a love of Scandian culture, particularly pre-League, and unbeknownst to him, was being considered by the Celpo as a possible intelligence officer.
