Swordcaster

Swordcaster technology was invented by the Fort Locke Research Group. This device utilizes magitek to allow a mecha-sized sword to mirror the effects of a standard sword. In most cases, this actually creates an inferior blade with a great deal of cost, by making a massive iron sword indirectly. However, it proves quite useful in mimicking the effects of mystic swords; examples include the Ifrit Atma, which used the Atma Weapon in enlarged form. Swordcasters, before being activated, look like a plain hilt, sized for the appropriate mecha, with a plain magilyte blade. This blade is shaped entirely by the sword inserted into the hilt. The Esper Union has given this technology to the Grand Army, the Kingdom of Guardia, and the Tasnican Republic.
