Warlord Pravoche was among the most prosperous clan lords in ancient Beorn. His clans had all settled on the shores of the Eastern bay, with ready access to the sea, river and forests; his people were skilled hunters, fishermen, farmers and good with small watercraft. The fact that Pravoche's lands were also the farthest from the fighting against the Xsian invaders helped preserve his people's prosperity.

To protect himself from reprisals against other Beorn clans in the midst of the chaos of the war with the samurai, Pravoche married off his daughter, Jana, to Conerick the Unifier. With the warlord Malmund, he and his clan became one of the cornerstones of Conerick's drive to bring all the Beorn people together under a single rule.

The site of Pravoche's main settlement is where the modern city of Baron is located today.
