PASA (the common nickname for the school) was once the site of the Porrean Army`s training grounds and shipyards, as Porre once rivalled Guardia with its impressive land and naval forces. Today, the site is a simple four year university with specialties in Liberal Arts, Literature, Philosophy, History, Sociology, and the sciences of space travel (Physics, Engineering, Temporal Studies, Dimensional Theory, etc.). PASA plays second banana to Truce College in its sciences department; the two science departments have a heated rivalry dating back to before the advent of space travel.
PASA also fields a renowned fencing team; Truce and PASA face each other once each year on the next to last day of the school calendar. It is rare for one school`s team to hold a title over the other for more than two years, although Truce currently has a winning streak running at three years. Though the PASA team was hoping to win the title back at the close of this school year, the PASA team`s captain was killed with the rest of his mercenary corps at the Battle of Hosluftgrad on New Year`s Day. With June just around the corner, the PASA team is frantically searching for talent to equal that of the member it lost. It is more than likely that Truce will carry the day again this year; PASA was counting on its Captain`s mettle, to the point of neglecting the rest of its team`s skill.
