Almost every state in the Tasnica Republic has a university of their own. OSU has recently become the most popular because of the massive project of building the Void Bridge. The state sponsored universities tend to offer a well rounded education with a specialty on whatever area happens to be handy; the proximity to the large project has led OSU to increase its structural engineering programs.

The overwhelming majority of the Tasnican population attended a state university, but even here some corporate help is evident, although its more likely to be one or two corps and is often not one of the AAAs. In OSU`s case this is Forge Mechanicals, leaders in building the Void Bridge.

Like most state universities, OSU has a program that allows people to pay for part of the college by taking a tour with the Marines.

The OSU Freedom Fighters maintain their rivalry with the U of A Bears.
