Mama Moolay was once one of the most skilled mambos in Malcovian history. She and a handful of Vodoun practicioners sought to combat the rampant drug trade in Malcovia and larger El Nido through the use of necromancy. Mama Moolay was fortunate enough to have some of her collectors come across the recently slain corpse of Manta in Porre, following his less-than-successful attempt to assassinate the Shield.
Mama Moolay raised Manta into a special form of Vodoun resurrection, near-completely resurrecting him to full vitality on the condition that he thereafter would attack and dismantle the trade in the newly introduced pyra. Manta did so, eventually tracking the pyra trail from Malcovia to a mansion outside Termina, which subsequently he blew up.
Upon Manta's return to Mama Moolay, the mambo released Manta from servitude and rewarded him with control over his own destiny once more. Manta thanked her, then ended her life.
