Magitech infusion

A dangerous process by which a Magi binds a spirit into a human being, granting them some manner of magical abilities. The nature and extent of these abilities are often unpredictable even when the greatest care is taken and there is a sizable chance that the subject of the infusion might die, or go mad, as a result of it.

There was a time when receiving a magitech infusion was a fad amongst young nobles and aristocrats, though is is most common amongst soldiers now.
