Weapon of Zahd

Along with Donghar, the Hammer of Sebedor is one of the two legendary weapons of Zahd, God of War and the Seas to the Taznikanze. This powerful warhammer could smash Reklar with a single blow and create massive earthquakes. On the hammer is engraved, "Whoesoever wields this hammer, if he be worthy, shall have the power of ZAHD."

In the early forties WR Grendel, King of the Reklar, attempted to steal the hammer and use it to attack Egmont. However, he was stopped by Kuat Consortium Arms Experts, Fara Somers, TO Halberg, Jerrod Rogue, Terence Shale, and others. Fara eventually defeated him in the Temple of Fame in the Pureland and laid the hammer to rest with Belgememnon.

Heroic Epic

The heroic epic, the Hammer of Sebedor, tells the story of the forging of the hammer. The Siren Frilya, having committed many crimes, decides to redeem herself by forging a weapon for Zahd to protect his people. After hanging from the Mana Tree for several weeks and learning the secret of the runes, she returns to the volcanic island of Sebedor. She instructs several pupils in the way of Runecasting and uses her knowledge of enchanting to forge the hammer in the great volcano on the island. However, the immense magical energies used to create the hammer also attract the attention of the Reklar and inadvertantly lead to the creation of Deggial, the champion of the Vulkaneteufel. The Reklar, led by Deggial, proceed to assault Frilya and her followers, and she is ultimately devoured by Deggial. (The lengthy descriptions of the Reklar are a noted part of this epic.) Zahd, however, intervenes and takes the hammer anyway, although Deggial puts up a good fight for it.
