Founding Day

Founding Day is one of three major holidays of the Church of Spekkio. In Guardia, celebrations of the day include a pageant celebrating the fall of the Zenan Empire and the founding of the Kingdom. In other countries where Spekkians practice, the day's festivities are adapted to the local history, with the pageant depicting scenes of the founding of the country in which the day is being celebrated. Schools, banks and government offices are typically closed for holiday observances. Founding Day is celebrated on January 1.
