Othlorx

Name for a rune delivered to magic users residing in the Merge Dimension who did not follow Alkar the Black in the creation of the Merge League. Magic users marked by the rune can only cast magic at enormous physical pain to themselves; the bounty hunter Aldos was known as "Bloody Aldos" because casting spells would cause wounds to erupt all over his body. Most magic users marked by the rune don't even bother.

Gerenez of the Clock, becoming a pirate after being marked with the rune, named his ship the Othlorx in memory of the pain.
