Nira

A fierce ninja of the Sheikah, Nira (also known as Nira of the Dark Moon) was a consumate warrior and among the most skilled of the elite Shatriyaan that served the Hylian royal family. She was chief among the Shatriyaan that protected the Emperor's children, and as a teenager was specifically assigned as Crown Prince Raphael's personal bodyguard. She fell in love with him, and the two carried on an illicit romance for a number of years.

Nira's forbidden love for the beautiful Crown Prince would become the stuff of Sheikah legend, and passed down as a cautionary tale for every Sheikah through the centuries. The Niran Oath was even codified by the Shatriyaan, and even in the modern day every Shatriyaan affirms it: that no Sheikah in service to the Royal Family ever fraternize with them, even should the Royal be the one to make the advances on the Sheikah.

Nonetheless, Nira is still seen as a kind of tragic folk hero to the Sheikah, celebrated for her bravery and cunning, as well as her fanatical loyalty, despite her flaws.
